Delete Your Account

We're sorry to see you go. Here's how to delete your NoteOwl account and what happens when you do.

How to Delete Your Account

Option 1: In the App

  1. Open the NoteOwl app
  2. Go to Settings (gear icon in the top right)
  3. Scroll down and tap Delete Account
  4. Confirm the deletion when prompted

Option 2: By Email

If you can't access the app, send an email to support@noteowl.ai from the email address associated with your account. Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line. We will process your request within 7 business days.

What Data Is Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:

  • Your account profile and login credentials
  • All audio recordings and uploaded files
  • All transcriptions and AI-generated summaries
  • Notes, folders, and organizational data
  • Chat history and AI conversation logs
  • User preferences and settings

Deletion Timeline

Account deletion is processed immediately when initiated from the app. All associated data will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days. During this period, your data cannot be recovered. If you have an active subscription, it will be cancelled but you should also cancel it directly through the App Store or Google Play to avoid future charges.

Data Retention Exceptions

We may retain certain data as required by law, such as transaction records for tax and accounting purposes. Any retained data will be anonymized and cannot be linked back to your account. For more details, see our Privacy Policy.
